SERVING YOU BETTER
April = Evaluations
SB Dance Arts is dedicated to excellence in technique, proper tools to grow inside of our program, and to value the lesson of setting and achieving a goal. While we do not conduct class placement until the end of August, we begin the process of evaluation in April, when teachers will be taking the time to carefully evaluate each student. Our Mini and Disney Dancers will get a Certificate of Completion with teacher comments and suggestions for the next season. All dancers in classes level 1 and up will get thoughtful feedback, and recommendations for summer and future training to maximize their success during our Pre-Placement session.
When will I get my evaluation form and/or certificate?
At our Photo/Tech Week at the theater, May 11-12. 14-16. After this they will be available at the office. Mini classes and mini-mester classes will get their certificate on the last day of class.
After our mini and beginning level classes, dancers can be considered for our upper level S.T.E.P classes
Style. Technique. Evaluation. Placement. classes will help your dancer grow, achieve individualized dance goals, and building confidence while making lasting friendships. To be considered for a S.T.E.P class, dancers will need to be PLACED.
Pre-Placement Session (August 17-29)*
Pre-Placement is a two week process for dancers 8+ where we carefully evaluate correct placement, skill mastery, and feedback from our panel. It is normal for students to spend an average of 1-2 years at each level before mastering the skills to advance.
