Welcome back! Welcome to the Dance Arts family! We cannot wait to make memories on and off the dance floor during our 22nd Season.
We believe intentional leadership changes communities. Last year we focused on the message of KINDNESS. Not only did we promote positive culture at the studio, but we became a model for other studios across the globe. I was invited to speak at a conference for almost 300 studio owners about our successful initiatives that helped create a culture of kindness. I am so proud of what we built together and love that other studios are following our lead to help make powerful changes in the dance industry.
This year, we are focusing on GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION. Look for initiatives, contests, and installations throughout the studio to support an environment of appreciation. We hope this will spread to your dinner tables and car rides home. Please read my blog this month to learn more.
We are a big studio, but we want it to feel small. Please know you and your child matter to us and if they are struggling, or feeling lost at school, or at dance, please take the time to let our staff know. We want to help you support them when they are going through a tough time, and cheer them on through their victories… not matter how big or small!
I look forward to hugging old friends, or meeting you and your dancer as the year progresses. I still teach on Mondays and work with Company on Fridays. When I am not teaching, I will be walking the halls and maybe even chasing my son, Jace. He is now 5½ years old, just started Kindergarten at Monte Vista, and has his first wiggly tooth! Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself to me… I look forward to getting to know you and your dancer!
I want to thank our incredible staff who work hard every day to provide a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for your kids. I also want to personally THANK YOU for choosing SB Dance Arts for you and your family. Follow us on Facebook (like our page and join our Facebook Parent Group, Instagram (@sbdancearts), and YouTube so you can enjoy the ride in pictures and videos! Tag us and add #danceartsproud and #gratitudeistheattitude and as you share your memories.

Not Just For Kids
Class Assistants Needed
Get community service! Be a leader! Ages 11+
Class Assistants are emerging as leaders and mentors at the studio. We are authorized providers of Community Service for local schools and for many children, this is their first 'job'. There is no compensation for the position, but it is a chance to be a bigger part of the Dance Arts family and nurture the next generation of talent.
Class Buddies will visit their class four times per year and act as a mentor, guide, and friend to our students.
We suggest dancers are at least 11+ and dancing in a S.T.E.P Level in the discipline they wish to assist/buddy. This is a weekly commitment and we expect dancers to be responsible and communicate any absences or scheduling issues in a timely manner.
