Our Crew teams are the recreational teams at SBDA. It is a an amazing way for your child to have a special community and it is the beginning of their extended dance journey. If your child loves dance and is ready for a little more commitment, new friendships and tons of FUN, then our family of performance groups can help them on a positive path for success. What sets us apart from other programs is that we focus on so much more than just dance, while maintaining a commitment to excellence.
We believe in building confidence through dance. While some children enjoy recreational classes, we have noticed that some kids, even as young as 6 years old, want MORE! They watch the older dancers in our Company, they practice at home, they have innate talent and focus, and they want to perform all the time!
We have two young Crews to nurture this young talent and give young dancers quality training and expanded performance opportunities, while preparing them for our Student Dance Companies (for intermediate and advanced dancers 8+) or for Teen Crew (dancers 13+ if they are looking to be on a hip hop only teen team with less commitment). Crew will help provide your child a sense of community, worthiness and a place to belong.
Crew nurtures young talent, provides mentorship, and begins instilling leadership skills in young dancers. We provide dancers quality training and expanded performance opportunities, while grooming them to audition for our Student Dance Companies. Crew will be an application/invitational process.
